Chuck Peters

While completing his studies at Gannon University, Chuck co-founded a telecommunications company focused on internet infrastructure and services. He and his partners successfully exited the company in the fall of 1999 and worked for the acquiring company until it was sold in 2003. Soon after, Chuck rejoined the family business of real estate by founding Altair Holdings, LLC, and acquired the assets of Signature Management and Realty Managment services, creating NWPA's first full service real, commercial real estate advisory, brokerage and management services firm. Chuck has provided comprehensive advisory, brokerage and property management services for the City of Meadville, Erie Metropolitan Transit Authority, Penn State University, The Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus, Holladay Properties and many others. Chuck has served as an expert witness in the court of common pleas in Erie County PA in matters involving real estate disputes, has been approved by the US Bankruptcy court to provide debtor in possession services to several distressed real estate firms/projects and has worked in PA, NY, and MN as a court appointed receiver. 


Chuck serves on the board of the Erie Downtown Partnership, Ben Franklin Technology Partners of NW PA and the Ben Franklin Technology Development Authority (appointed and reappointed twice by two Governors) serving as a member of the Commonwealth's 5 person Venture Capital Committee assisting DCED and the BFTDA in determining how best to invest Commonwealth resources into venture capital funds. Previously Chuck served on the binational Council of the Great Lakes Region, Erie County Industrial Development Authority, and the Erie County Gaming Revenue Authority. Chuck has spoken on the importance of academic involvement in economic development at the Association of University Research Parks and International Business Innovation Association's annual conferences.


Chuck is licensed to practice real estate in both the Commonwealth of PA and the State of NY.
